This is great if you travel to sewing workshops where space is very limited (sound familiar). You’ll have all your essentials right in front of you…no table space required!
For those of you who have done the Intro to Quilting class (or those of you who are already quilting) this project gives you an opportunity to make a relatively quick project which allows you to practice some simple quilting & binding and some very fun ‘play’ with scraps. I enjoyed making this far more than I’d anticipated.
For the first day of class you’ll need a metre of fabric for your main body & linings. You will make a quilt sandwich to be quilted at home. For your pocket you’ll want to have a collection of scrap fabric, trims & selvages. We will be working on this pocket in the first class. In the second class you will add the pieced pocket to your quilted cover, attach a continuous binding and make the thread catcher.
10am – 1pm both days (we may run slightly over on the 2nd day)
