I have finally given in to your many requests…as I always say, learning to do free motion quilting is a matter of practice, practice, practice. So this class is available for you to bring along your own machine and do just that! We will discuss the proper equipment and materials you should be using and practice a few techniques to build your confidence.
You will need to bring: Sewing machine (ideally must be able to drop or lower your feed dogs), embroidery foot attachment for your machine, topstitch or quilting needles, lots of thread (a great way to use up ends of spools & bobbins) but make sure you practice with the same quality of thread as you will be quilting with or you just make the job more difficult. You also need to makeup several ‘quilt sandwiches’ – minimum size 12 x 12 inches but can be larger. Plain paper and pens.
You can always drop off your machine the night before if you wish or drop it at the door on Saturday morning before you go to park up.
