This class is English Paper Piecing with a slight twist! You will be given a pre-printed pattern sheet that you cut out and then wrap with your fabrics and piece back together – making a picture block. The patterns are made as drawings so don’t feature traditional shapes which is great for exploring the more quirky side of the craft enabling you to play with smaller and misshaped pieces . There are multiple pictures and emblems to choose from – a lot of fun animal faces as well as stand alone sewing machine and are all designed by Amber. She will show you ways you can go on to use your block* and give you advice and tips on construction. See featured photos*
You can use scraps for these projects – but they will need to be of medium size as all patterns vary but some have some larger paper shapes in them – but you can also use fat quarters or fat eighths if you have a colour scheme in mind as you wont be using a lot of fabric and will still be left with a large amount of fabric.
This class is a “carry on” skill level and suitable for anyone that has done one of Amber’s EPP classes or already knows the basics as this class is less about the “how to” and more about the actual project.
You may want to bring your own sewing kit and any equipment you use if you already practise EPP – you will be able to try some of our equipment on the day and purchase any you find useful.
10am – 4pm £30 per person – Thursday 15th November
